The Charles N. Collison Award  
 

 This award is sponsored by one of Adelaide's leading Patent and Trade Mark attorneys, Collison & Co , and is named after a founding member of the firm.

Under the rules of this prestigious Award, visitors and members of the Inventors Association of  Australia (SA ) Inc are encouraged to present their innovative ideas at one of the monthly meetings, with a selected panel of the Executive assessing the best over the course of each year. (conditions apply)

Every year, at the December meeting, the award is presented by
Mr. Howard Schulze, the Managing Partner, or John O'Mahoney of Collison & Co .

At this meeting there may be other awards and certificates for the runner-up prize winners.

The Collison Award is valued at $500.

This value is usually divided into four prizes:-

  • Ist prize $300
  • 2nd prize $100
  • 3rd and 4th prizes each $50

Any other monetary prize values will be set by the Executive.

All awards come with an associated framed certificate.

Conditions for presenting at meetings:
(a) Prior notification to President or an executive member is required (at monthly meeting prior to presentation night or before)
(b) If not a member of the association a fee is payable for each presentation.
(c) No dangerous substances or dangerous operations are allowed  to be part of  the presentation.
